Quality Health Indicator
The quality health indicator tool provides hospitals with an affordable instrument to evaluate internal processes of care and to seek ways to improve those practices by comparing specific measures of quality with like hospitals.
Using this tool, regional networks of hospitals and individual facilities can select up to 60 indicators to determine which measures meet their unique needs. Such indicators include:
- clinical quality (infections per patient day, unassisted patient falls, etc.)
- employee contribution (staff turnover, benefits as percentage of salary; and
- financial operational measures (days in A/R, days cash on hand, etc.).
