Falls Prevention Pilot Projects

  • Methodist Hospital - Falls Prevention and Intervention: Methodist has developed its own assessment tool and intervention, which is being piloted over the next few weeks.
  • Owatonna Hospital - Falls Assessment and Scoring Patients: Owatona has developed a patient scoring system using the Hendrichs II tool that categorizes patient fall risk. The patient admission packet differs based on a patient's score and fall prevention interventions are responsive to the level of fall risk associated with each patient. Initial results may surface within the next two months.
