Minnesota Hospital Association is pleased to introduce to you an online reporting tool that allows you to directly interact with marketshare and discharge information.
(See brochure PDF.)
Vitalics(tm), a Web-based reporting application, enables you to interact with dynamic marketshare reports that tap into the depth and power of our statewide billing database. With Vitalics(tm) your hospital will have the ability to view reports, perform basic queries and download the data for further analysis. This product will supplement our standard PDF Marketshare reports that are and will continue to be provided.
There are two levels of Vitalics(tm) services offered to reduce the amount of time and cost to prepare data and to allow more time on analysis and insight:
- Base Package (no charge)
- Dashboard and Analytics Package (optional)
MHA will provide the Base Package to members at no additional monthly fee. The Base Package currently provides the following three dynamic reports:
- Patient Origin and Destination Report
- Patient Demographics Report
- Audit Report
These reports include interactive filters and selection criteria for such elements as ZIP code, patient origin area, dependency area, and quarter. The reports offered in the Base Package will continue to expand along similar lines as those available in our standard PDF reports.
The Executive Dashboard and Analytics (EDA) package provides guided graphical views through the data. This is done through a series of interactive dashboards, graphs and tables - all of which can be exported to Excel, CSV, Word and other formats for use in presentations or for further analysis.
The analytics tool included in this package provides fast and highly customizable pivot table capabilities allowing users to mine the information their organization needs.
A free trial period (ending on Oct. 31, 2011) is available for members who subscribe now for the Executive Dashboard and Analytics package. For members who sign up by Sept. 30 the setup fee will also be waived. Subscribers can cancel at any time until Oct. 31 by simply emailing MHA. To take advantage of this trial period to test out the dashboards and analytics package, send an email to Vitalics for additional information.
This is just the beginning. Vitalics(tm) will be expanded over time to include additional data elements and metrics beyond marketshare. As you begin to use Vitalics(tm), please let us know what other types of data and reports you would like to see. Your feedback will determine how this new data tool is expanded in the future.
