Current Initiatives

Patient safety is a top priority for Minnesota hospitals and they are focused on a number of areas to improve safety and quality:

Collaboratives

MHA partners with hospitals, other care providers, state agencies and others to develop comprehensive solutions to health care challenges and to work toward a coordinated approach across the continuum of care.

Adverse Health Events

Minnesota was the first state to publicly report adverse health events by hospital. We’re committed to transparency and making care safer and are using what we learn to find new ways to make care better and safer.
