Policy & Advocacy

Priority Issues

The Minnesota Hospital Association advocates on behalf of its members with lawmakers, educating them on complex issues in health care and ensuring they have the tools they need to make informed decisions. MHA works to develop strong channels of communication with legislators and to define the priorities of the health care community. In addition to informing legislators and other key stakeholders about such topics as health care reform and Minnesota’s position as a leader in patient safety and quality, we ensure elected officials understand the important role that Minnesota’s hospitals play in their communities, and the economic impact hospitals have on our state.
