The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights has just announced a proposed rule that would update the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Rule. Hospital Matters host and Tim Nelson talked with Fred Langston, executive vice president at Lumifi Cybersecurity about what may be ahead. Lumifi Cybersecurity works with a number of Minnesota care providers, and is an endorsed business partner of the Minnesota Hospital Association.
