ICYMI: Rural hospitals and clinics are concerned about Medicaid cuts impacting their availability to provide care. Both because of the financial strain cuts will put on hospitals, and because meeting work requirements or other eligibility standards can be a challenge for mental health patients.
Jean MacDonell, CEO of Fairview Range Medical Center shared these concerns with the Star Tribune:
“Medicaid is just a lifeline for our patients, our community,” she said. “We need to be able to sustain those services. We have a lot of people depending on us for those services.”
