MHA celebrates 100 years of care
For 100 years, the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) has supported
hospitals and health systems as they serve their communities and improve the
health of their patients.
MHA’s commitment to Minnesota’s hospitals and health systems began in
1917, when 50 hospital superintendents came together to organize the
association. Over the century since then, MHA has partnered with hospitals and
health systems to make Minnesota a national leader in quality and patient
safety; to advocate for state and federal health care policy that represents
the needs of Minnesotans; and to help address some of the biggest health
challenges facing the state and nation, including meeting mental health needs,
combating the opioid crisis, lowering the cost of health care and eliminating
health disparities.
While much has changed in how we prevent, detect and treat disease,
injury and illness over the last 100 years, Minnesota’s hospitals and health
systems remain dedicated to keeping their communities healthy, now and in the
future. Join us in recognizing the members of the Minnesota Hospital
Association by watching this special video to learn more about how MHA partners
with hospitals and health systems statewide to advance this shared goal.
