Hospital leaders encouraged to attend local Chamber of Commerce policy meetings

Every year the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce hosts its Statewide Policy Tour, a series of community meetings to solicit input from its members. Meetings are scheduled Jan. 8-22 in various cities across the state.

MHA members who are also chamber members are encouraged to attend a meeting in their local area. Chamber staff and local business community members appreciate hearing from local hospital stakeholders with personal expertise about health care issues and issues affecting their community’s hospital.

View the meeting schedule. The meetings are free of charge, but advance registration is preferred.

Enroll in MHA’s class action settlement recovery service

Forty MHA member hospitals are participating in MHA’s class action settlement recovery service. In 2017, MHA entered into a strategic agreement with Managed Care Advisory Group, LLC (MCAG), to help MHA members identify and recover funds from current and future class action settlements.

Through this agreement, MCAG tracks relevant settlements, identifies opportunities that are meaningful and assists in filing claims for payment. MCAG is also available to help hospitals review settlement notices that they receive directly. The settlement recovery service is provided on a contingency fee basis with no cost to MHA members until a recovery is received.

MCAG is still accepting enrollment in the program. To learn more, visit MCAG’s website for MHA members.

With questions, contact Ben Peltier, vice president of legal services and federal relations, MHA, 651-603-3513. return to top
