Influenza
Unvaccinated health care workers can pass highly contagious
influenza to their patients, many of whom are at high risk for complications of
this virus. Hospitals work closely with the Minnesota Department of Health
(MDH) and other health authorities to protect patients, employees and the
public from influenza.
MHA supports MDH’s FluSafe program, with the goal of attaining 100% influenza
vaccination rates among hospital employees (without medical contraindications).
