Minnesota Hospital Association

Trustees

Education

Throughout the year, Minnesota Hospital Association offers trustees several education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills. Through the winter and summer annual conferences and prerecorded board videos, MHA helps trustees stay abreast of the current topics impacting hospitals and health care in our state and across the nation.

Conferences and Regional Meetings for Trustees

The Minnesota Hospital Association hosts two annual conferences and a number of regional meetings specifically for trustees throughout the year. Each conference and meeting includes presentations on governance topics to help you in your role as a board member. By attending the education sessions, you will also earn credits toward MHA’s Board Education Certification program. The events also provide opportunities to network with other trustees from across the state.

Regional Meetings for Trustees

MHA offers regional trustee meetings at locations throughout the state on timely topics such as federal and state budget issues, health care reform implementation, etc. These meetings are not only an educational opportunity for trustees, but also provide an occasion to network with other board members in their area.

MHA Winter Trustee Conference

To help trustees stay on the cutting edge of our constantly evolving health care environment, MHA hosts a January conference each year for governance and physician leaders.

MHA Summer Trustee Conference

Each year in July, hospital trustees and executives from across the state attend educational programming to build their governance skills and to network and exchange ideas.
