Minnesota hospitals are leaders in patient safety and quality. As hospital trustees, you play an important role in ensuring Minnesota hospitals remain safe places to receive care and that patients receive exceptional care every time.

Adverse Health Event Legislation

In an effort to enhance safety and foster greater transparency, in 2003, Minnesota hospitals led a legislative effort to create a new reporting system for adverse events. The law gives Minnesotans better information about how well hospitals are doing at preventing 28 events – medical errors and other adverse events. Learn more on the adverse health events page.
